  2. Not even they could do that. Their market caps are 30 times their annual revenues, and ~95% of revenue is spent immediately on expenses. Besides, they could do a lot more for us by investing in R&D for their own profit. Also there's nothing necessarily wrong with national debt.

  3. Not at all. Apple has a PE Ratio of 29.7, meaning they earn enough in 30 years to buy their own company outright. Microsoft is 35.7, however Amazon is at 69.7 mainly due to Covid driven market swings. Note that the average stock has a PE of 18.

  4. Dude, these are global companies and the US alone has an 18 trillion GDP. Also, proportionately speaking, the biggest companies in history were the Dutch East Indies Company, South Sea Company, Mississippi Company, Standard Oil, I forget which railroad, and in that order.

  8. False. There are ways they've used to get massive tax breaks, or put off paying taxes until later so they could invest more now. For instance, R&D research is a tax break for the Feds, and each of these are R&D heavy. Also employ stock options are a tax break, and they use a lot of them. They all pay state and local taxes where applicable.
