More than that, most of the Arab world has some form of this.
1
Of course, but this is a climate change video ergo every established practice must be slowly killing us
1
A lot of those places have had Vox pieces about them already, that's how you know about them, so why are you angry about this piece? And the assumption that all employment is slavery is extremely suspicious about your worldview. I suggest you leave before someone finds out who you are and what your connection to this is, because they'll probably go full Aztec on your sternum.

@shoking9825 Shut up
1
Because they lack the funding and expertise and they all really want a get-rich-quick scheme, not actual productivity.
1
They're Qatari state owned.
1
Pollution in China is so bad most of the rivers are good for nothing, not even agriculture. It smells like sewage.
1
Iran isn't run by a religion. A lot of the bosses are simply ex-clerics.
1
Ha. This idiocy violates basic economics: Economy of scale.
1
@ameatballsandwich8060 Big motor vehicles means bigger deliveries, more deliveries, faster deliveries for the same labor cost.
1
@ameatballsandwich8060 how can you talk so much but say so little?
1
@ameatballsandwich8060 it's what I say when people ramble. Scale and industrialization are not the same
1
Doing so would make them cease to be "protestors."
1
Every one that isn't a scam like you.
1
Sometimes employers are arrested for just that, the most recent case being a Dominican sugar company that's been blacklisted by the US for a lot of this behavior. It's why we are very suspicious of people who seem to target immigrants for employment.
1
That's how it's all sustained. Literally nothing these guys do is profitable, but they can just give foreign oil drillers all sorts of arbitrary fees and taxes and use that money to prop up this junk.
1
Because we can afford them and streets aren't as congested here as other places.
1
The Arabs will take anyone that'll fall for their scams.
1
Qatar was never bright
1
Like... you?
1
She's the customer that screams at cashier for no reason @kristineanderson4983
1
@unique1o1-g5h those are a myth
1
Scam
1
@deagin3830 HE IS DEAD. He lived in the building he managed.
1
If it were up to me we'd just go full French Revolution on their butts
1
That doesn't mean making chips isn't big business. It's what military planners call "strategic materials," like farmland, aluminum, uranium and so forth
1
@LT No, you need to rephrase. Say that you heard another projection elsewhere
1
Ha.
1
They always had weird editorials
1
Shut up.

State sponsored piracy in China. One of the big rackets is outside companies are brought into China with falsified GDP data, required to let Chinese businessmen control the Chinese branch, required to surrender patents to their partners or the government, and then all the above builds knockoff versions at the foreign company's expense. Likewise, Chinese firms are encouraged to bring in outside investors, and outsiders are not allowed to audit the books. And since the state owns a lot of for-profit ventures, sometimes they skip the middleman and the Minister of State Security simply steals foreign tech and gives it to their own firms.
1
Qatar wanted to become famous, but that just means it's now impossible to hide their crimes.
1
@cul8terworld Troll elsewhere
1
It makes them feel powerful. Most people who steal are not in it to make money, but they get a thrill out of the act of taking.
1
Use? They? Vox is an independent company and the countries that own those other channels aren't boycotting anything. You're not making sense.
1
No. Now shut up
1
@Cotac_Rastic I wasn't damning anyone specific
1
Original reporting is not copying work.
1
@MM not exactly middle class because while such people are still very poor by first world standards they are considered the lesser elite in Egypt. Office jobs of any sort are coveted and families holding said positions may refuse to associate with the poorer residents. Yes, many Masri who can't afford electricity consider their neighbors beneath them.
1
We really shouldn't encourage people to destroy their bodies like Olympic athletes do.
1
Uh... No, you just weren't paying attention. VICE did a lot of reporting on it, still does. The world cup has just made more people interested.
1
No. End of story
1
@SidV101 that's not now the bulk of cases come their way
1
@LutraLovegood he doesn't have any. He making junk up because he didn't like the verdict
1
So?
1
You should see what they do to the men they don't like.
1
The world cup has caused interest in Qatar to soar.
1
Shut up, people.
1
Shut up, Vox
1
