We should add each rocket costs as much as a civilian car. But since it can easily disable armored vehicles worth millions it's well worth it.

No, but you can win. Ask a preacher how to stop wars.

You think they're all spent the day they arrive or something? No, war in the Ukrainian plains involves looking for the enemy for weeks or sitting waiting to ambush someone who might never come. War is actually really boring except for brief moments of horror that come and go in minutes or seconds and are usually determined by dumb luck.

You
3
Yeah. War is spending weeks training, weeks in muddy holes looking for the enemy, and then it's all over in a 2 minute fight determined by dumb luck.
3
Because the marines are suppose to be naval infantry but the Pentagon forgot about that for a couple decades
3
Those aren't equivalent rockets.
3
Please leave military science to those of us that know basic facts about military science.
3
@ericlamont4130 there's not a lot of alternatives as all that ammo has to go somewhere. I know with the Abrams the munitions are stored behind a hydraulic door in the turret. The armor above the munitions has large loose bolts so (in theory) the munitions going off would blow off that blast door instead of the crew compartment. Whether or not this is better is unclear as there are several tradeoffs.
3
Non-political? His intro statements were overtly partisan.
2
A tank costs as much as several farms. And those are the costs of complete systems. Replacement rockets cost 1/4th that.
2
That joke was stale weeks ago
2
WWii is still referred to as THE war, meaning everything gets compared to it no matter how absurd. Some statistician studied political debates and found that as arguments go on it becomes inevitable someone will compare something to Hitler.
2
You got a weird sense of humor
1
@ewc58 you can go to Benning. The drill sergeants will make something useful out of you.
1
@ewc58 please leave military affairs to those of us that aren't talking out our butts
1
They're often tacked onto Europe anyway like Turkey and Malta.
1
There's a lot more to it than that.
1
You know what happened with Castro and the Missile Crisis, right? How is that relevant? Especially when the Ukrainian war definitely didn't start over NATO expansion?
1
The algorithm can be weird. If you include a word or phrase that is frequently reported, the computer may delete the comment. This leads some people to abuse the report button.
1
He puts that on all his videos. It's mild clickbait
1
@capturedflame those things don't really go bad, but are universally terrible but filling. There was a time when "hardtack" was the norm. They'd take a bisket, burn the crust black, and it'd last forever even if it took a hammer to open them up. Soldiers would generally throw them in a stew with whatever fresh food they had.
1
@capturedflame hilarious, but we're on the same side. I just have a peeve against talking trash
1
@capturedflame Uh, you think because I didn't laugh at a viral joke for the 100th time that I'm an algorithm? I think you've been arguing with randos for way too long, dude.
1
@starptgr depends on the rocket. Many of them cost a lot less than that.
1
Cope cages?
1
Dude, the German war machine collapsed because of logistics. The case in point was only a fraction of the German forces were in the Stalingrad area, only a fraction of those were engaged at any one time, and they were acutely short on everything. They had thousands of tank drivers without tanks and hundreds of disabled tanks without spare parts and dozens of good tanks without fuel.
1
Do you even know what the CIA is? And no. It shouldn't surprise you that citizens of NATO states are overtly partisan regardless of their backgrounds. Real Engineering is run by a Brit, I think.
1
@rihardga7122 the point is you should get drafted because your family is better off without your lying, stealing, and bullying. Now shut up
1
@suicideistheanswer369 also before that with the Russia Civil War. Poland split with Moscow and took chunks of territory.
1
@ASJC27 that demonstrates a lack of knowledge. The Spike is a whole family of interchangeable components that range in size from anti-ship to anti-vehicle. The SMAW, javelin, and TOW are all equally "equivalent."
1
@ASJC27 that degree means nothing to the specific knowledge I mentioned in my last comment. I apologize for coming off condescending. And when I said components there's not only several different rockets, but several different launchpads and targeting sights that are each compatible with each other and each have a specialty.
1
Or perhaps your understanding of warfare sucks. But that's par for the course on both sides
1
They have free elections that matter. I don't know what oddly specific thing you're freaking out about, but by your screen name I'd wager it's because they don't demonize Nazi Germany.
1
@divyanshuyadav5111 shut up
1
That's not necessarily a flaw since you have to penetrate into the deepest part of the tank to do so. Certainly possible with DU weapons, though.
