A good way to loosely translate the "tofu dreg project" expression is to say "breadcrumb buildings."

@ralphanthonyespos9417 Pendejo, most people around the world have never had tofu. I don't even know anyone whose tried it, and I'm not sure if it's even sold anywhere in the county. We do love our Mexican food round here though.

@ralphanthonyespos9417 coffee has dregs. Tofu has scraps. Tofu dreg sounds awkward in English, which I assume ISN'T your native language. English is loaded with words with similar meanings and with idioms so common they become actual terms which is why literal translations from Chinese sound weird. For instance, gong-fei is often literally translated as Communist bandit, but it is better rendered as Communist gangster. The difference is bandits are rural and gangsters are urban.
