  5.  @robinsattahip2376  That myth comes from how war industry masked slow economies (I.E. soldiers and gun makers get paid but don't contribute value to living). GDP numbers went up quickly, but actual living standards went up at its usual pace. After the war GDP numbers crashed, but living standards soared.
