  1. @JackSmith-mk1ru  loans? If you mean the fact China's central bank bought lots of T-bills your info is both flawed and outdated. First, they bought those bonds back when they backed their currency with foreign currency reserves. They have been buying gold more recently for obvious reasons. Second, you cannot recall government loans. Uncle Sam will pay you on the date the loan says. Third, why the frick would that be a detterant? All it did was make the Fed's debt stupid cheap for a time.

  2. @jacksmith6015  most of those metrics are arbitrary bull. In any case, the country never really industrialized and they have neither the funds or expertise to build an airplane or car. Indians make less in a day than people in civilized countries make in an hour

  6. India has a lot of fake products too, but they're more straightforward scams than tofu dreg. In one case, residents found a construction company put down a carpet that looked like a road to fool the government for just long enough to be paid.
