  2. In the early days of privatization in China it was found that the fastest growing startup had tricked banks into giving them infinite leverage. They'd take out a mortgage on their airplanes, but the bankers didn't think to put their name on the deeds, so the crooks were able to keep getting new loans in order to buy businesses and pay off old loans. This ponzi scheme eventually ran out of money
