  2. Technically all art is, but the "bagholder" is a rich chump who pays for the prestige of the item. I don't know about Masterwork's intentions though. They say it's securitized through the SEC but I seriously doubt the government would allow that. They certainly gave WSM a highly misleading earnings chart, though. And their ads contradict each other, once calling it blue chip and now calling it high yield and recession proof.
