Japan doesn't count as foreign ownership.

Chinese steel is actively diluted. There are videos circulating of construction workers breaking inch thick steel with their hands. The worst steel is sold locally in China where no one cares, but the stuff they export is still not up to specification

They are far from perfect but they make good stuff

Unions haven't killed anyone's profitability

@JohnDoe-sc1bm I repeat, there are videos of inch thick rebarb broken by hand. Chinese innovation revolves around counterfeiting, and there's a meme in China that noodles can be used as a filler material for anything
9
@ashishpatel350 hardly. They're mostly just paid to do nothing
8
@AlexDahl We own Japan, savvy? Just like we own the Canadians, El Norte, and NATO.
3
@tatsuyaarai6029 Japan/American car makers employ the same people, just have different owners
2
@Zuranthus anything but the Chinese car will do and Japanese cars are often made in America anyway.
2
@Zuranthus that trade goes both ways
2
It's also cheap because they're ponzi schemes selling at a loss, they steal from employees, and they dilute the steel.
2
@SanoKei dude, it's just idiots taking reductionists views on "foreign ownership"
1
@tatsuyaarai6029 this idiot doesn't realize car makers from both countries have factories in both
1
@VinceroAlpha your English sucks
1
@SanoKei no one is afraid of Japan
1
@TheWizardGamez the deal is big enough to come to the attention of idiot politicians
1
@spidertao there's no grand scheme to all this, they're just reacting to stuff seen elsewhere
1
@pavelimani Trumpsters are protectionists and don't like it either. This is a matter of knowledge of economics and empires, not parties
1
@amirahmad2099 this idiot doesn't realize America is the biggest exporter of cars
1
@Zuranthus that trade goes both ways. In one case a US company that made bombers and a Jap company that made fighters that shot them down merged and now many planes for both countries

Politics is reductionist. Foreign ownership = bad. Japan = "foreign"
1
@havencat9337 ha. Wouldn't they need a military for that?
1
@niuchajianfa6222 go back to drinking beer with piss in it, gong fei
1
@user-qwertyuiopasdfghj Did you just make up your firm's accounting numbers, gong fei?
1
@deragoth4250 there are enough counterfeiters that it is impossible to turn a profit without it (stealing from employees is not a repeatable method). We can see this with even stuff as simple as vegetables where sometimes market price below cost of goods sold before labor and losses to thieves. Chinese businessmen laugh at the absurdity that "the more I work the more I lose but I can't stop working"
1
@niuchajianfa6222 this is why women don't want to have sex with you, gong fei

@JJ-zr6fu and as an engie, if you are one, that in no way qualified you to make that remark
