I think WSM is mixing up criminal reports from the US with Chinese Commie slander. Many years in China a guy known as Toad Face wanted an excuse to form his private army, and at the time some of these Falong Gong people were rioting over a small matter, so Toadface simply declared them a cult. Since 1 and 5 Chinese were part of this group, including senior officials, Toadface could and did arrest anyone he wanted. That ended a few years ago, but that's why you find these guys everywhere but China now, and of course they're all involved in the same types of crimes that are common in China.

It's only quasi-religious and no one controls the group. The reason some people think it's a cult is because Communists insist on calling it that, but at one point one in five Chinese commies were into it.

Not even remotely. Chris, Matt, and Shelly are just partisan AF and Shelly was born in China, but they're actually the source of certain non-public info about why Toadface declared war on those guys

Not really. There's no one controlling it and it's like Buddism, compatible with many beliefs but not others. In fact, most of the people into it are Buddhists
