Inflation isn't just caused by increasing money supply, but decreasing labor supply and decreasing consumer goods. You may have the same amount of money, but if there's nothing to buy with it....

Ukraine's pre-war poverty is misleading as the cost of living was dirt cheap (Russia likewise has low wages and extremely low cost of living).

Russia isn't putting all they got into the war and normal life continues in the wholr of the country

@crescentprincekronos2518 As if you don't pay taxes and vote on how to use it. I say we draft you just for saying that.

@john2335 given your belicose wording I'd question the reliability of whomever yer reading. Keep in mind we already knew what crimes we'd accuse Moscow of before the war even started and dehumanizing speach about Russians is tolerated (not a metaphor).

Oh we have some money to spare and will likely pay it. Kiev is shooting our rivals so we want them to at least survive.

People like to pretend the cost of an existential war is irrelevant, but all the production and manpower of a given nation is both finite and can be quantified in money. There's a point where it doesn't matter how much money you have, there is no one to pay with it because every scrap of labor that can be used for war already is. That's how Napoleon was done in.

No one cares what you think.

@yannicmendez2559 Irrelevant even if true. The only reason this isn't a bigger war is the Russians got nukes.
