  7. People like to pretend the cost of an existential war is irrelevant, but all the production and manpower of a given nation is both finite and can be quantified in money. There's a point where it doesn't matter how much money you have, there is no one to pay with it because every scrap of labor that can be used for war already is. That's how Napoleon was done in.
