Investment banks are full of lawful but awful stuff. They're the only business I know of that at least partially fit dirty business stereotypes.

Dude, most cryptos in existence are scam memecoins. And this had to due with subtle price gouging. NOT manipulated records. It's as if you take the one gimmick from the security you're pumping and try to fit it into everything regardless if it made sense

Please leave monetary policy to those of us that aren't making stuff up for a pump and dump

They did. See the heavy fines. Investment banks are pretty notorious for this creative lawful but awful stuff, though.

@leadingauctions8440 these aren't the same banks getting busted every time and these aren't felonies. The fines are mind bogglingly large, but that is due to the simply scale of modern banks.

@oiinahgiiusadurrybrahchuck7209 Jail for fraud/theft, fines for anti-competitive behavior. That seems to be the current zeitgeist, and I personally would object to do anything worse to someone who didn't physically hurt anyone. Rather, it seems there are a lot of people with sour grapes on the internet that want mass punishment of the richest people literally no matter what they do. This is why you see Musk, Bezos, and Gates get all sorts of baseless rumors spread against them the instant they become the richest man in the world.
2
@andrewwamusembi7027 that's junk is completely made up. And I will dox you if you say otherwise
2
@danielalorbi that's lawsuit worthy comspiritard libel.
2
This was a matter of knowingly unfair advantages, not fraud.
2
@leowilson7545 you sound like you'd berate them no matter what they did. And fraud, by definition, requires lying and you know that.
2
Lose the pump and dump

Most convictions in the western world involve some sort of whistleblower or 911 caller.

Dude, it's literally an unregulated market with THOUSANDS of currency exchanges. If not more. The real surprise of this is how many different big institutions got on board in order for it to work even marginally.
1
Who is they, and if you have specific evidence of a crime I insist you report it immediately. If nit you can shut your trap.
1
They didn't make near that much off this. And if you really believed the law was meaningless you'd start robbing banks

My forex broker has a list of tricks to get their users to trade more. It doesn't work on me.
1
That's lawsuit worth libel.

Over a matter of some money? A matter if less than a penny on the dollar of trading?
1
They are incompetent, you're just subject to paranoid delusions about people richer than you. This WAS NOT market manipulation. Thus no pattern recognition software could have caught this activity.

@artysanmobile this isn't a scam, it was anti-competitive behavior. I would like to hear about this older malfeasance. You sure it even happened in Europe?
1
@artysanmobile you have any idea how little that narrows it down?
1
@artysanmobile there are dozens of corporate felonies a year. You could be speaking of several. If you don't recall the specifics you can just say so.
