@hill160881 That's false on multiple levels and IDK where you're getting this besides your butt. Mr. Musk hired a lot of industry experts but did have to learn some things the hard way and he did invent a few new machine tools. Tesla's profitability is less than the net subsidies they're receiving for being an EV company and all the conventional car makers generate far more revenue per car and per share. It's just another car maker.

@JayeK47 passenger rails went defunct in the US 1930-1960 yes. Where I'm from some old rails beds are bike trails, some old rails are used during certain times of the year to collect harvests, and some rails are for cheap long range freight.
