  1. Correction: Hundreds of thousands of views doesn't mean tens of thousands in revenue. It depends on donations, sponsorship, and merch sales which varies as wildly as views do. Frankly, this is why YouTubers aggressively monitize because there's high risk even if you are making money

Porn stars can get impressive amounts for a short time when relatively small numbers of assholes compete to show off how rich they are. Shows like WSM rely on donations from channel regulars to stay afloat even if they have large audiences.
