  3. The insane discounts offerred were "blitzscaling." They offer free bread and circus to get people in the door and achieve an economy of scale. One they are big, they can offer bigger discounts because of better employee to customer ratios and they can get bulk order discounts. These idiots, however, went crazy with the promos.
