@snowman2834 she still has to give money back by selling what she bought.

Err what? First the deal you make with the bank when you open an account is in the fine print and the can give overdraft fees. Second in this case it's not the customer's money. Third, under what circumstances could someone withhold the bank's money and it's not something like wire/check fraud.

@Jobbsjobbs finders keepers doesn't work like that. If you find something and the owner is known you're legally expected to return it. If it isn't, it's just salvage. Like I said before I don't know of any circumstances where an individual can have the bank's money and it's not something like unjust enrichment or fraud.

@Jobbsjobbs Quit being rhetorical, this isn't a court. The bottom line is if the rightful owner is KNOWN, they get it. If not, it's finders keepers. Entire have been scrapped under this law. But there's no way I know of you can see a bank error and not be able to track down the owner.

@Jobbsjobbs me? I'm not a government Mr Sour Grapes. And banks aren't even subsidized where I'm from. And that's just as irrelevant as who is at fault for the error. If we punished people for incompetence, you would be dead.

@Jobbsjobbs for what?

@Jobbsjobbs if incompetence were a punishable offense, you'd live in hell. Come on, we both know you're making this up because you envy people's money, Greedo
1
@Jobbsjobbs Yeah, I'm a historian, you're a shoplifter. So shut up, Greedo.
