A Tesla market cap exceeding the market share of the entire auto industry as of 2019? Do you know the meaning of the word bubble? And you can't credit them for inventing devices that don't exist yet as they still haven't made an EV with identical performers to a gas vehicle of the same price. Especially when the other tech and insurance schemes involve massive leaps between industries and branches of science.

@WarwickAvgur I fear fair value may be zero when the bubble bursts. People complain about the S&P being overvalued, but it isn't significantly so if you remove Tesla.

@WarwickAvgur 16 billion in cash with a company allegedly worth 735 billion dollars. All the rest of their assets are highly speculative instruments.

@WarwickAvgur you're berating me for not knowing how to value companies whilst actively ignoring every valuation metric. Even if Tesla took 100% of the US market it'd still be overvalued. Therefore it doesn't matter how good the company is, what matters is too many investors piling into that stock.

Virtu is a decent pick. It has a great PE ratio because projected earnings are low. But since it profits from volatility events it helps hedge against market risk.
