@arthur-ri4zo Nah, Amin lied when he said he had a minor role in the Holocaust. He was talking trash to his homies.
However, Amin was implicated in a string of murder attempts against British officers. The bullshit at the time said this was a spontaneous act of outrage by the Arabs against the British, but all the assailants were either the Mufti's clansmen or mercenaries on his payroll. Soon after the Brits intercepted a letters between Fascist Italy and the Mufti and Amin went on the run, never to return to Jerusalem.
Amin met Hitler himself when the Germans were winning and offered to switch sides, but Hitler said he loved the offer but at the moment they were busy with the war in Europe and they would get ahold of him at a later date (which never came).
Amin's cousin Abd lead the Husayni militias against Israel, and he didn't last a week on the frontlines. Abd al-Qadir al-Husayni was the highest ranking Arab to personally fight, all the others were giving orders from hundreds of miles away in Damascus, Cairo, Amman, and Baghdad.
Yeah, don't get me started about these assholes. A lot of things happened back then.
