  6. Except now someone working for a government said it, so some people might take their word for it, nevermind the report is from a serial liar that's on and off at war with India, and nevermind that there's no secret that hacking is part of espionage.

  7.  @corytinsley  I know, it's likely the report is mostly speculation and deliberately exaggerated. China recently made their espionage laws deliberately vaguer than they were already and could potentially include even the corporate accounting books as "national secrets." One of the reasons foreign investors are leaving China is because they don't want to get arrested for the crime of hiring an accountant. But still, to justify the law's existence, China needs to maintain an appearance that there are spies everywhere.
