About eating poisoned snow: That was an issue during the Winter War in Finland. Explosive residue was poison, and both armies were using snow as their primary water source. This is why you should never eat snow that looks even slightly off color or disturbed.

@Archangelm127 There are emergency shelters in mines that typically are stocked for this sort of disaster

There's a saying among Heredim. "For every 10 Jews there are 11 opinions." Ironically, there are many variations of that saying.
19
It started in the Mao era when factory managers started competing to get production numbers up but didn't care if people actually used stuff
14
One guy with a 12 ton vat of molten sodium to simulate the Earth's EM field for science was asked what happens when they turn it on said "Well we don't know, that's why it's an experiment."

Luxury goods markets draw in greedy bastards because of the fat profit margins
7
Technically it's an oxidizer so it makes things around it spontaneously combust. Even things you don't think are flammable like solid steel
6
Anything this bad is impossible to hide, so no this is the worst
5
Watch the video, greedo
4
@KNR90 A robot wouldn't know how to insult you in a way that hurt, greedo. Now don't you have a community service sentence to fulfill?
4
Shut up
4
Luxury goods draw in many greedy people on both sides of the trade
4
@KNR90 of the crew that is dead.

@ZoeAlleyne This goon thinks labor laws were invented within living memory...
3
@rvdb7363 If only that were true

@tictacdude3468 Adjusted for local purchasing power you need to quadruple the Chinese number. And the average for the US is $150 per square foot, and our construction workers get paid per hour what Chinese workers make in a day

He did have a poor driving record and an upper in his system. Certainly complicit in his employer's neglect but also he presumably just needed a job
3
Lying isn't necessary in this instance
3
Safer than whatever you want to do. I bet my life upon it
3
@zockertwins depends how much smog you're putting into a city
3
No joke, there's a crop dusting plane in Arkansas called "Enemy Aircraft."

About the atomic powered rocket, the graphite that contained the nuclear reaction and the hydrogen rocket fuel were incompatible. The math was the hot gas would dissolve the graphite "as fast as sugar in boiling water" so any rocket required a coating to protect the reactor from the fuel

@ZoeAlleyne I ain't exonerating or blaming the bosses. But it's bloody obvious these idiots shot themselves in the foot. You even see lower bosses try to fix it and you see grunts see the danger but do nothing.
2
Or maybe just you
2
That's like never going outside in the rain because some people were struck by lightning
2
@davidseslar5798 so what?
2

@kremepye3613 that kind of libel will get you doxxed
2
The power plant is more likely to blow itself up than to be blown up by a neighbor
2
I always thought limos were custom made luxury items, like pleasure boats.......
2
Shut up
2
It's the same reason people keep texting while driving
2
You could dedicate your whole channel to Chinese housing despite the Great Firewall.
2
Technically the Dunning Kruger Effect includes people that know just enough about a topic to do something stupid. Electronic radiation equipment like your microwave get turned off, I think this guy didn't know they were using radioactive materials
2
@kuebby The people who like limos also like giant cities. I saw a professionally made limo sitting in a dealership out here on the plains, that's it.
2
They sure aren't always the lowest bidder
2
@medicmule that doesn't mean anything. Most officers don't even know a damn thing about requisition contracts.
2

2
You're crazy, as greed was not the cause here but instead laziness at every level of command
