You wanted a siege, you got a siege.

Revoke their visas. Problem solved
193
The officer behind the attack was probably trying to sabotage the negotiations.

Guys, it's simple. By Chinese law it is illegal to refuse to help the authorities when asked. If the Ministry of State Security wants to install bugs in Huawei electronics, then the execs will be committing a felony if they don't.
57
Subsidies don't really lower costs. They just shift the cost into taxes.
55
What makes you think cartel soldiers are different from the rest of them?
46
That's silly. How they suppose to loan money when there's no one paying in? What they going to do? Print digital currencies? Wait...
42
It will never happen. You can bet your life upon it
42
Good, then some people can get their jobs back and that ship won't go to waste. This mostly effects the Chinese venture they work for, and frankly these kinds of high profile collapses are frequent over there due to extreme leverage.
40
Literally nothing has changed in the middle east.
34
"Ethical and animal rights issues." You're asking an omnivorous species to weigh animal life versus human life as if you're not sure what the answer will be...
33
Is Turkey's NATO membership in jeopardy?
30
Someone has a death wish.....
25
DW is suppose to be neutral
24
He's no different from the rest of them
24
"Criminal syndicates" is too generous. Hooligan bros with knives is more accurate.
23
"A slaughter to remember!" -Fl4k
22
Not any better for China, which has its banking sector collapse completely with default rates exceeding 50% in many cities
22
They were drinking wine on a beer budget and lying about living standards in their country.
21
That's the reality of the Middle East. Locals beating each other over who will rule a trash heap.
21
No
20
Nothing. The alleged crime is irrelevant, it's just an excuse to beat on cops.

There is very little manufacture or technical jobs in Turkey and most of what they have is either foreign run or run by men with foreign educations (Turkish schools range from rudimentary to fraudulent). Most middle class persons work for these foreign businesses and a large portion of government revenue comes from them whilst much of life continues the same as it did during the Ottoman era. They largely import finished manufactured goods and skilled labor whilst exporting natural resources and cheap labor. The effects of this can be seen in their military hardware as they have to seek a developed nation that will sell weapons whilst being in proxy wars with literally every last one of them. Like most countries in the Middle East, Turkey is as much a turdhole as Africa but works hard to maintain the fraudulent image of a "middle income country."

"It seems FTX outgrew the people who were running it." The burns write themselves with this one...
18
Not destroyed. Total losses are like 0.1% of Gaza so far.
18
That country collapsed years ago.
18
You think anyone in Turkey knows how to manage currency?
17
Tell it to the Arabs
17
That's not what happened. NATO intervened in the Kosovar War of Independence and won, and that has been the status quo since before you were born.
17
Separatists? These guys have been independent since before YouTube was invented
17
This is silly. How exactly is removing a diplomat punishing France for anything they may or may not have done?
17
"Fighting civilians" is a weird distortion. Most of the country is actually run by local militias that may or may not have uniforms and may or may not get along with the national govenrment
16
It's circular investing
15
Why do you think people study journalism in college? To ram their opinions down other's throats.
15
The nepotism is strong with the Turk...
15
"The Pope? How many divisions he got?" -Stuff Stalin probably didn't say.
15
This news source is blaming famine and such on global warming but such things have been routine in Africa since prehistory.
14
We used to call these colonies but these days we're required to pretend they're independent states
14
That's preposterous on so many levels. Do you even know what the CIA is?
13
This has nothing to due with Covid. It's all about systemic incompetence, corruption, and infighting.
13
@phantom1076 it literally wasn't, goofball
12
The origin of the feud was the last President is accused of receiving bribes while he was a governor, which he denies of course, alleging it's just libel to be rid of him. Whether or not that's true is unknown, but he certainly acted as if he expected people to believe in his innocence when he tried to dissolve Congress. Most Peruvian Presidents retire to a jail cell. This is just business as usual.
12
Serbia's only connection to Moscow is a mutual enemy. But either way, I doubt Belgrade will want to follow the many unwritten rules the EU has.
12
It's not like UNRWA and Damascus have been embezzling charity funds for years
12
Gaza never left the middle ages
12
Do we know for a fact whether or not the PM is on Beijing's payroll?
12
No weapon is outdated
11
No one cares
11
@Kaisersozze Afghanistan was never operational

Everyone scripts what they say on television
