  6.  @khadijah3519  a lot of the meth and weed in the US is made in Mexico. We catch coyotes with it all the time. But meth and weed are the more common illegal drugs in the US simply because they can be made in the US. To show how difficult smuggling is: The price of drugs more than quadruples the instant it crosses the fence from Mexico into the US. Also, the abundance of gangs in Latin America means illicit drugs are just another commodity. Drug makers interviewed say they paid a decent amount by local standards but not enough to get rich and there's all the risks associated with being an outlaw.

  10. The US is not the only end destination for dope. In fact cocaine can be hard to get ahold of because difficulty smuggling it up here. Locally produced meth is preferred.
