That would destroy the profitability of casinos. It's a zero sum game, the odds MUST be stacked against the customer in order to stay open.

The famous professional gambler John Law would bet anyone 1000 to 1 that they couldn't roll six sixes in a row. Law had done the math beforehand and knew the odds of rolling that was 46,656 to one. Thus, even though he paid a small fortune when he lost, he won so often that he made lots of money. Casino slot machines work the same.

@AV57 slot machines are the most profitable thing at casinos for this reason and the fact it doesn't need an employee to be the dealer. I frankly don't give a rip if we outlaw gambling, though

Of course the odds are stacked against the customers. How could they stay profitable and meet expenses if they weren't?

Card counters know this well and will often go in disguise so as to not be removed by security. And some casinos will hire card counters to play with rich gamblers to ensure they lose.

@mpirron1 the casino will bankroll the advantaged player and split the winnings with him. All the advantaged play is have a good time with rich chumps and play well.

@AV57 dude, I'm condoning the existence of casinos. I'm saying that's how it must work in order to keep their doors open. And unfortunately, there's no shortage of chumps that are willing to pay high prices for cheap thrills.

@AV57 obviously the house must lose sometimes in order to keep people coming back. They only need to win 51% of the time and employ economies of scale. That's how the professional gambler John Law made a living for a time. Oh yes, he'd find games with skewed odds and socialize with rich chumps. They all remembered him well as he was a good friend... That'd clean up the coins at the end of the night.

@AV57 I got news for you: Not doing so collapses the whole business model.
1
@AV57 because card count makes money at the casino's expense, why else?
1
@AV57 you keep calling this discrimination as if you want to be able to count cards with impunity.
1
@AV57 you know better than that
1
@AV57 You knew what I meant, liar.
1
@Cavalete08 It didn't say it SHOULD be that way, I said it MUST be that way. Otherwise, no casino.
1
@stephenford6132 No need. They control the odds.
1
That's something a thief would say

Algorithms.....

Still a zero sum game.

We also knew that's the norm in Macau casinos where rich Chinese people circumvent restrictions on money leaving the country. He probably worked in Macau, or there's something we don't know about.
