  1. I once got a call from someone pretending to be IRS. I googled the number and found it was a known scam number. Key facts: The IRS, SSA, and any other US bureaucracy will never call you. They will mail, email, or show up at your door. Also, no police or government agency uses robocallers.

  2. Like he said, anyone can be scammed. You just have to say the right things at the right time and right place.
