Former theatre guy here: Propmasters handle the props, not the actors. No surprise the propmasters are already pointing fingers at each other. And yes, film production is usually that hectic, but most people don't throw safety out the window.

@airplanes_aren.t_real It just means it isn't a functional device. Like a prop knife has a blunt metal blade and is spring loaded to retract into the handle when you fake stab somebody.

@Heirllionaire Baldwin wasn't the director. A producer is simply someone who invests money into a movie while the director is in charge on set and the star actors do what they want.

@airplanes_aren.t_real Of course it was loaded with explosions, IT'S A FLIPPIN BAY MOVIE! BTW, most movie explosions don't use explosives. They take a steel pipe, set it vertical like a mortar, load it with gunpowder, then put a ziplock bag of gasoline in it. When set off, it produces a big and fast fireball and sound can be added in post-production.

@jordanthejq12 You're clearly twisting facts to suit theories.
37
Film productions are always hectic. Although not usually this wreckless.
31
"Insolvency" is what they all have in common. When immediate bills exceed cash available.
19
@doomsdayrabbit4398 The companies are irrelevant since he only has a handful of employees. Besides a cameraman, who works for him?
9
Because his audience is largely the same as Andrew Tate's audience.
9
@alfredlear4141 yes, most actors would neither check the props nor are expected to. The prop master's job is to have every item ready before they're needed on set so production is quick and smooth. On a stage production the prop master even has queues he must memorize where he changes props on a table backstage so the actors can change out quickly (the director will be very angry if any prop is not in its place). That said, if someone like me with a lot of experience with guns were acting I would likely be checking the gun between every take out of old habit.

Guys like him hate real jobs
7
You wouldn't know a damn thing about tort law
6
Most of them fire him as a client after a couple months
6
A DEI hire surrounding himself with DEI hires
5
@jordanjolls5912 I would have checked my gun out of habit if I were an actor, but that's due to habits my Dad and the Army taught me.
5
Of course stunt guys are negligent. The whole reason they're hired is to not risk an expensive actor's face.
4
I love cats more than I do people, but sometimes feel like eating some people's pets just to prove that animals are expendable while people aren't.
4
This why most countries censor "dissidents"
4
I'd wager target practice when training the actors.
4
@trappedinamerica7740 POLITICS AREN'T RELEVANT HERE.
4
We don't criminalize most lies.
3
It's the pace Feds move at
3
Being famous just means you can easily find celebrities jobs.
3
@justinalbin7272 I didn't say that. I said a prop gun is suppose to look real but be safe
3
Frankly, I think we should expand and simplify frayd laws. Simply say if you lie knowing in advance you will make money due to said lie, that is fraud. I.E. The guys faking animal rescues to make money from YouTube add revenue will be committing fraud

@jakehyams8659 shut up
2
That only happens overnight in the movies. But it's gonna say death by gunshot
2
To be fair, he's been through at least half a dozen lawyers because he kept demanding they break rules.
2
IDK how adult legal guardianships work anywhere else, but note these conservatorships were intended for senile people and things get weird with rich people (there's A LOT of money involved in this).
2
Only she really was losing her mind at the time. Is was part of a hard time in her life.
2
Liar
2
All DEI hires and political appointees
2
They're just wannabe terrorists. Treat them as such.
2
Maybe. He was also an idiot himself so he might not pin any loss on the lawyer.
2
The judgement was for more than his company is worth. That is the definition of bankrupt because we are literally taking everything he's got.
2
There are paid caretakers that have been sued for overcharging, being absentee, or both. That is a more typical case where there isn't millions involved.
2
@raskov75 the lawyer malfeasance definitely didn't effect the guilty verdict.
2
@suivatra123 not on a movie set.
2
@suivatra123 a curious assertion given you're regurgitating decades old arguments. There's nothing political about this incident and it neither highlights nor debunks anything you've seem argued in Washington. I just saw another piece where now the prop master is starting to argue sabotage. It should be clear who is afraid of jail time right now.
2
With those jobs, however, the worker has free-reign to choose when and where and if he will work.
2
No you aren't, Devon.
2
Make the arrangements if you will, but we don't allow vigilantes around here so know the risks
1
@rafetizer most disappointing
1
Wut?
1
What'd he do besides be incompetent?
1
Dude, it's inevitable, it's just tedious
1
But then the wife of a gangster with the wrong demographics will go to jail for stupidity and it will all be rich white people fault according to the press. This isn't hyperbole, this type of thing sometimes happens with actual criminal offenses
1
Or at least people will think others will buy it. It's likely the same people would have bought it with a different name
1
"Wealthy donors?" You mean rich chumps. All you need is a conspiritard with rich parents in order to get equity funding for trash like Jones.
