Shut up

The fact they were ignoring "bank angle" warnings may mean they routinely pushed the plane beyond what was considered safe

It's called the k-factor
1
It's Ethiopia. They've all got problems
1
They were intoxicated enough to not recognize they were unable to fly
1
Or was intoxicated

That's time in air, not briefings, routine training, transit, and on call time
1
This is what the Afrikaners call the K-factor.

Except in this case it's the opposite where most African airlines are banned from many airports because of chronic safety/labor violations
1
Do you have a death wish?

@Bogbastardo Don't equate Boeing with US aircraft. They didn't do anything that aren't known problems with people these days, they're simply the biggest corporation in trouble with the law so they get spam slander

Ethiopia and Lebanese don't use credit cards. They're cash only economies

@nobodydoesithalfasgoodasyou It has simply never been the case. Most areas do not have reliable electricity, most institutions don't have the credit ratings to become banks, most individuals do not have the credit to borrow, most wage earners don't make enough to be worth depositing. In Lebanon's case they did have banks in the major cities but they were all Ponzi schemes owned and operated by a single family and these all collapsed with the Lebanese pound. People lined up for hours to withdraw a few dollars, and one guy straight up pulled a gun on a teller so they'd give him his money back.

@nobodydoesithalfasgoodasyou It's one of those subtle differences between the developed world and the turdworld that are unavoidable because everyone secretly knows how much they can trust their neighbors

they were competent pilots, though

In civilized countries, yes. Most African airlines are banned from most airports in the developed road over safety/competency/labor issues, and most MENA airlines are 100% dependent on imported help.
