Same here. Looking back, I should have waited until age 30 to start vetting seriously for a wife in her early 20's. I could have finished my EE degree, had more money in the bank, and maybe a house and land BEFORE the young, hot wife - generally, a much stronger start in life. Anyway, I can pass these life lessons onto my married sons and their sons.

If I found myself a widower, I could be tempted to solicit a serious matchmaker and explore the market again with my advantages. I could present my very high standards and watch the responses...

@benhartart9487 Even at age 57, my wife has realized that I'm in the driver's seat of our relationship and I admit that, after years of dating market disadvantage before marriage, I'm enjoying the power flip. She has learned a healthy respect for me and a fear of young women in my presence. I don't play games with this, but they are available and my wife knows it.
