  38. I dated a chick that went to Duke undergrad and had a doctorate from Harvard. Real degrees in the field of science. Her arrogance kept her from being tipped off that a) I could see she was fetishizing me(I black and busy but she wanted more and more seggs) b) She was TRYING to be human but didn’t value it and c) ALL OF THAT REPUTATION AND LIVING OFF OF IT IS USELESS OUTSIDE OF THE FEILD. Oh my god she was so useless but thought she was super smart in a holistically complete way. She was very much into the fact that she went to Harvard. I don’t know that we got together as a couple one time without her mentioning Harvard. All other life stuff, she was useless but would put on this fake persona like what she didn’t know was beneath her. All that to say, I was attracted to Bri but something was weird about her to me the more she spoke. I didn’t know she went to Harvard until I read this post and then it clicked. I’ll stop this book here.

  46. Understand where we are and the mindsets. It’s very interesting to be living in history as it happens. I’m a black disabled vet that in a 4 week span was told by a stranger unprompted (as in they ONLY knew I was a vet and I wasn’t speaking on anything political) that anyone who has any complaints should leave. Then, those same people hailed this “rich men north of rich men” song which is nothing but complaints. Take race out of it in your assessment. Just think about the mindsets of cognitive dissonance cocktails and you can see (along with economic realities) it’s almost in “not see zone” on both the liberal and conservative spectrums.
