Don't spread bullshit narrative.
Allies distort history even today and cover up the truth by saying that Japan was trying to invade China. But it's not a fact.
The conflict between Japan and the Kuomintang forces of Chiang Kai-shek faction occurred because of repeated looting/rape/murder/massacre/terrorism against Japanese people and Japanese army.
In fact, when the Japanese army left Nanking, it handed over the control of Nanking to the Kuomintang army, which was different from the Chiang Kai-shek faction. If Japan had planned to invade all of China, it would have been natural for some Japanese troops to remain and continue to rule, but they did not.
When Chiang Kai-shek purposely destroyed the rivers bank to delay the pursuit of the Japanese army and caused flooding, the Japanese soldiers worked with the local Chinese to repair the bank, while being shot by Chiang Kai-shek’s KMT army from opposite bank.
And Japanese soldiers rescued the Chinese stranded by the flood. Because what Japanese soldiers did like above is still in the Chinese-language newspapers of the time, even some Chinese, who can think correctly, know that the Japanese did not invade.
