Certainly, from the perspective of white supremacist and colonialist Western countries, the rise of Japan, which called for racial equality and the abolition of slavery, would have been troublesome. However, as MacArthur once said in a speech in the Senate, most of Japan's wars were for security reasons. In other words, propaganda such as "Japan's invasion and expansion ambitions" is a fabrication/distortion used by the Allies to justify/conceal their wrongdoings.
