@vietnguyen4312 Freedom is not everything for life. Human are not birds but human live in societies/countries. Every human society/country is a cage that human built for themselves. Freedom should not be used to measure how well a human lives. Happiness is the overall measurement of how well human life is. Are we happy in our countries? In the US cage, there are a lot of freedom but many human are not living happily for their lives are at risk most of the times. There is little order and human is bumping into each other with the freedom to go anyway they like. Let's use the happiness, death rate and human average length of life instead of "freedom" to judge which is a better country/society/cage. "Freedom" is a poor measurement and it is an excuse used by the US/UK to invade another country. We should talk about happiness instead of freedom. We should not follow the US talk of freedom. Only criminals want "freedom". Ordinary citizens want happiness and good health. As one person said earlier in the comments: 安居樂業Live and work happily, capable to enjoy life should be the human goal.

@vietnguyen4312 No. I said all countries are cages for human beings. We all have limited freedom no matter which country we live in. You are just like the west MSM, love to distort information. You don't understand "life" and what is "freedom". You mind your freedom and don't interfere the freedom of the others on choosing how they want to live their lives. If you don't like the China government, just stay out of China. I believe most Chinese in China are not dummies like you. Keep in mind you don't represent the Chinese in China. Be happy. You sounds like an unhappy sheep losing the direction to return to your protected home, after having an adventure of freedom, from home.

The US is divided 50-50 in supporting the two parties. When one party win the election, the other half is unhappy. When the other party win the election, the other half is unhappy. So actually, the US citizens are 100% 100% 100% unhappy about their government, but have too much ego and arrogant to admit that their government is a failing government.

@richarde.halliburton8022 All it matters to the CPC is that it has more than 90% of approval rate by its citizens while the US gov't has less than 20% (actually 0% because when part D wins, Party R's supporters are unhappy; when party R wins, Party D's are unhappy. Thus, all US people are unhappy with their gov't.)

Don't you know that there is a Chinatown in Queens, NYC, in the US, made up with Chinese from Taiwan as majority? Many Taiwanese stay in the US after they graduated from the Universities in the US. There are even more Taiwanese working in Mainland China and trading with Mainland China.

@hindugoat2302 One doesn't have any freedom if his basic survival needs are not met. Voting right is not equal to freedom. In the US, we don't really have freedom to vote. We are just given TWO choices to pick with no guarantee of getting better government which can LEAD and SERVE us. We just vote and hope/pray. This is not freedom but we have no choices. That whole comment didn't mention CCP or Chinese. It is talking about all human and all countries, not just Chinese and China. Or wait till you live pass your 60th birthday and understand the meaning of life.

@treks6486 I have the same question of why the China gov't keeps the name of communism. After 10 months of researching and following news about China, I believe the China gov't want to honor the Communist Party led by Mao in the 1940's which helped to form the new China. Without the communist party led by Mao, China would still be poor like India. To honor all the hard work and sacrifice of the early Communist Party, China gov't decided to keep the name of the current gov't party the same name.

@fredtan1506 Disagreement is the characteristics of "democratic" gov't. Many Taiwan politicians care about their people but the democratic system is so frustrating and nothing real good can be done and thus fighting. The US congressmen/women don't fight when they disagree because they only care for themselves.

@richarde.halliburton8022 Taiwan must reunite with mainland China to ensure the safety of the whole China. Taiwan will never be independent from China, whether taiwanese like it or not. Taiwan is just a small island and lack of all natural resources to be independent and resilient as a country.
