@SouthernYankee10000 Who do you think did these jobs, before waves of immigrants? They dont want to do it anymore, because by bringing in immigrants it flooded the labour market and lowered wages. Americans wont do it for 7 dollars an hour but they will do it for 15 dollars lets say. Then these same people who are super pro-immigrant also are for raising minimum wage to 15 dollars an hour. Its madness.

@2bb-2 I listened. We need jobs, community, friends and families, not free money. Thousand dollars a month from the government wont stop the suicides and drug addictions. It will probably make it even worse. Something has to be done, but i dont think what this guy is proposing will fix anything.

@2bb-2 You sound like a cult member. "If you dont agree with this guy you are a moron" Its like you cant comprehend how someone could disagree with his or your opinions. I've seen the evidence from the UBI experiments Finland and Switzerland did. Have you?

@clarissacabrera7785 New industry as you yourself brought up, lowering taxes and making the US competitive with China and bring industry back or many other ways. Im open to all ideas. Families, friends and purpose is what helps suicidal people and drug addicts, not government handouts. I really just want to increase human well being, but i dont think what this guy is proposing will bring that.

@clarissacabrera7785 Yes, Chinas use of slave labor is inhumane and disgusting. Western companies moving their plants there, because they can exploit inhumane labor laws is not good. You can incentivize companies to move back and prevent them from leaving with cutting taxes. Make it profitable. I know you dont like these tax cuts, but its better to get some money than nothing. As for Scandinavia. Completely different situation. Scandinavian countries are genetically and culturally homogeneous. Its isn't like the US which is very divided on all fronts. Today the US has people from all sorts of cultures, religions, ideologies and ethnic groups. Trying to force all 300 million people from varying cultures and demographics to live under the same rules is only breeding hostility. I dont see why we couldn't just give states all the power to make their own laws. California could become the liberal utopia with free healthcare, UBI, firearms ban and open borders. Ohio could become the conservative paradise with full access to machine guns, restricted immigration and full first amendment rights.

@clarissacabrera7785 Im just saying there general hostility. I didn't say anything about the source of it. Im just saying when you cram people from varying ethnic groups, religions and ideologies to the same space and force them to live by certain rules it breeds conflict. Doesn't matter where it happens. Middle-east, ancient Rome where ever. The fact that you blame one group for causing all the hostility is a proof of the general hostility. You must see every group have their scapegoat. You are no different. In Scandinavia they share same genetic lineage, same culture and same history so they are able to govern themselves very effectively. They are all on the same page. Not the case in a heterogeneous country like the US. How can you live peacefully wit these people who you see are hostile towards immigrants or whatever. Why couldn't you just say fine, let Alabama have their restricted immigration and let California have their open borders. All tension disappears. Do you have comment on allowing states to make their own laws? That the citizens of the state could vote for their own immigration law, gun laws, healthcare and so on? I think its really the best solution to Americas problems. Just give power back to the states like it used to be.
