Too bad hes wrong. At least when it comes to building muscle.

@justaufcfan4673 Well science says the only way to grow muscle is to break it down and let it heal. When youre doing high intensity weightlifting youre actually causing micro tears in your muscle, but when you give it 48 hours of rest those tears heal and now your muscle is bigger. When it comes to building muscle intensity, meaning lifting heavier and heavier weights is better than repetition. Its better to do 5 reps of 200 lbs than 100 reps of 30lbs.

@rh3996 Training to failure is not something that can be done even once a week. If you're truly training for failure. Like after a squat day you cant walk up stairs and your legs hurt. Sure you can grow muscle like that, but progressive overload is time tested method best way to build muscle.

@aakash950 Hes right when it comes to martial arts, but hes wrong when it comes to building muscle.

Yeah, this is terrible advice. Now bunch of people are in the gym doing endless amounts of reps not getting any gains. Pretty frustrating. Why is this guy getting any attention? His advice is the opposite of what you should be doing.

Makes sense superficially. Thing is intensity beats repetition every time when building muscle. Hes giving bad advice when it comes to building muscle.

Sort of when it comes to martial arts, but not when building muscle. Few high intensity high weight reps is what builds muscle, not 200 low intensity low weight reps. Science shows this so i dont know why this guy is spreading such a bad advice.

@HagakureJunkie Its about intensity. You either lift heavy, or make that muscle burn like hell. You cant just lift a pen from the ground hundred times a day and expect great results like this guy suggests. Watch Jeffs 3 sets of 12 is killing your gains video. He explains it there.

@HagakureJunkie I would also say these methods apply to natural bodybuilding. If you use testosterone or other steroids you can grow big by just stimulating the muscle. Tough even then lifting that pen a million times isnt going to do anything.

If you do true intensity you cant do it everyday. Some bodybuilders i follow go to the gym every other day and work themselves to failure and then recover the next day. Thats much better than going to the gym every day for 2 hours doing low intensity workout barely breaking a sweat, you never see muscle growth.

Its actually true. Go big or go home i mean. This guy is giving terrible advice. Low intensity reps dont build muscle. Only high intensity will do. What almost everyone suggests now is that you pick the highest weight you can lift and do 6 reps where you reach failure. Like on the 7th you couldn't lift it even if someone held a gun to your head. This is how you build muscle and the good thing is, you dont need to spend hours at the gym doing endless amounts of reps that dont even build your muscle. This guy is giving terrible advice. You should watch Athlean-X youtube channel, its great for beginners.

@TheMikeKnapp Absolutely not. Lifting weights is fucking hard and building muscle is even harder. You hate doing those reps, but thats how you break muscle. Then you let it heal and thats how it grows.
1
Of course, lifting heavy weights off the ground is hard. Thing is, thats how you build muscle. Working out isn't supposed to be relaxing and easy. Well, maybe but then dont expect to get much results.

@toeachitsown2050 Less is more when it comes to building muscle. If you're a woman its probably different tough. Maybe your looking for tone rather than size. But if you want those thick legs and butt you better squat so heavy you cant walk the next day. Its the only way.
1
Yes there are studies. Only way to build muscle is to break it and let it heal. That means intensity beats repetition every time. The exact opposite of what this guy is saying.
1
@User-wt9jk Yeah, the exact opposite is true. I dont know why hes giving such a bad advice.

Ask the doctor to test your testosterone level. Or red blood cells, which the doctor probably checked already. Im guessing its the testosterone level.

@jamesharper5850 I had the exact same problem. Tired and low energy all the time. Nothing wrong with blood tests. Only when i asked them to test for testosterone they saw there was a problem. They prescribed me testosterone gel which really makes me have the energy of a young man. Also makes you super virile. In fact Joe Rogan himself is on TRT (testosterone replacement therapy). Its not an uncommon problem.
1
@jamesharper5850 Doesn't matter. Certain medication or medical conditions can lower or block testosterone production no matter how old you are. You should test the levels anyway.
