I had a first sergeant tell me and others in my company that it "doesn't do shit for you" Despite that, and the 10 promotion points as well as the badge you get to wear on uniform, I've always heard that it makes your record look good because it's supposedly such a prestigious school with only something like 20 thousand soldiers passing it.
