  1. China doesn't need to place military base in North Korea.. NK is literally the frontyard of China, very near. China has military base near NK border. While South Korea had to depend to others because of how fragile its positioning is.. North Korea & bigger China at its front door. So South Korea has no choice, but to make alliance with US / other country far from China.

I would add note at 16:58, the Communist 1965 coup happened because Communist Party of Indonesia (PKI) wanted to prove they were patriotic than the other (the Army generals). PKI even made up a conspiracy theory called "Gilchrist Document" as their justification, saying that Army officers led by Generals' Council (Dewan Jenderal -particularly General Ahmad Yani) would throw a coup to overthrow Sukarno on October 5, 1965. This coup failed to gain Sukarno's trust and made the Army/opposition to Communist side even more increasing. And Sukarno, as people protest because of his consequence for allowing PKI to exist, had to resign from his presidency.

  3. LOL North Korea distrusted China? That's their lip service only. In reality, China is still the MAIN reason why North korea exist today.
