  1. You can't beat the 1979 version, even with tanks and better overall visual graphics. I especially like the character Himmelstoss and his interaction with Paul & his friends, which is missing in this version. But still, thanks for the producer because through Netflix.. my countrymen nevertheless wouldn't know about "All Quiet on The Western Front" at all! Indonesians-Malaysians rarely know about this story. Now after watching the Netflix version, they are curious about digging the previous version and book.
