LOL you forgot The Pope's role (John Paul II) which made Poland stayed Catholic & later ignited the Solidarnosc and anti-Soviet movements in Poland. Yes he did criticized US-backed dictator like in El Salvador (Father Romero died because of that) but he also criticized Fidel Castro's Cuba that's why he visited Cuba.

@herptek "Russophobes". Said the country who forcefully relocated Tatars, Dagestanis, Azerbaijanis & Armenians (which caused the Artsakh conflict today), Kazakhstanis & Uzbekistanis (which caused Aral Sea dispute), etc population from their original homeland to another land which caused conflicts.

@suleymanbabak1973 ... while Europeans itself are also at fault because they are now Atheists. Even without those scandals today, even when Vatican urges to stop war in Ukraine.. Atheists won't listen. Vatican is currently under problem internally (scandal by few people) and externally (multipolar world, atheist Europe, SJWs & feminazis, the rise of extreme Islamism, etc).

@LyubomirIko Unfortunately multipolar world currently is more dangerous and complex than the Cold War era. Communism is no longer exist, Europe is largely atheists (it's our fault too), then Putin is hiding behind Russian Orthodoxy authority.
