  1.  @ariefrachman7545  As controversial as US Foreign policy was, US wasn't supporting Khmer Rouge. You forgot the key fact: Khmer Rouge deposed the pro-US Lon Nol administration of Cambodia in 1976 ... Yes, I said it again: Khmer Rouge evicted the only pro-US regime in that region. Why on earth USA wanted to support Khmer Rouge if Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge was against USA and ruined their interest here? Instead, it was China who supported the Pol Pot in power, because China is looking for influence after the Sino-Soviet Split. That was why China got angry when Vietnam refused to bow to China, then Vietnam decided to attack Cambodia in 1978-1979 which threatened China's interest in there. As response, China invaded the Soviet-backed Vietnam in 1979 but ultimately failed and Vietnamese troops didn't leave Cambodia until 1989.

USA did supported and armed the army of Lon Nol (Khmer Republic).. hence why during this era you can see Cambodian Army using US/South Vietnam pattern equipments. But US did not support Pol Pot (Khmer Rouge). 🤣 Why would on earth USA supported Khmer Rouge who overthrown the pro-US Lon Nol / Khmer Republic in 1976 and who made US as their national enemy? As much as I disapprove some of the US foreign policies, it is implausible to conclude that US was a mastermind behind the rise of Khmer Rouge in 1970-1976.. it would be a political suicide (because at the same time, the pro-US Khmer Republic was threatened by Khmer Rouge). P.R.China, meanwhile, did supported and armed the Khmer Rouge rebels prior to 1970 and even invaded Vietnam when Vietnam counterattacked Khmer Rouge in 1978 because it endangered China's interest here. Pol Pot's "Year Zero" itself was based on the Cultural Revolution by Mao Zedong. Gitu loh (saya tahu kamu orang mana).

  3.  @battleriteroyalevietnam8447  Then answer my first argument, did Khmer Rouge (led by Pol Pot) displaced the pro-US Khmer Republic (led by Lon Nol) WAS EXACTLY WHAT UNITED STATES WANTED in Cambodia? Ayo jawab? Nope. So US did not contribute to the rise of Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, 1970-1976.

  4.  @javantm1676  Yep. US kinda supported Khmer Rouge in 1978, after Vietnam counter-attack Cambodia. But the intent was for both Vietnam and Khmer Rouge to lose the war. And it was not US who armed and finally put Khmer Rouge in power during their resistance in 1970-1976 against pro-US Khmer Republic. It was China who provided material and moral supports to Pol Pot of Khmer Rouge. Even the "Year Zero" during Khmer Rouge was inspired by Maoist the "Cultural Revolution" in China. Again do you even know history timeline bruh? There was even a point where China and North Vietnam got along with each others, before China invaded Vietnam in 1979. Even you and your mother belongs to a separate timeline of history.

US did not support the rise of Khmer Rouge from 1970-1976. In fact, the creation of pro-US Khmer Republic under Lon Nol was to prevent Cambodia to become increasingly close to become communist country, to prevent Khmer Rouge's influence in Cambodia

  12.  Esphaeras Praestans  Hun Sen was a Khmer Rouge official and he now rules the country.. into China again (who supported the Khmer Rouge and invaded Vietnam in 1979). Now Cambodia became nest for drug addicts, casinos, and money laundering for the mainland Chinese.. look at Sihanoukville.

Also: all superpower countries are malicious to the world order.. not just USA.. but also Russia, China even lesser ones like Iran, Turkey, Saudi, etc destabilized their respective region.
