Wow that's a dangerous thinking. Look, Portuguese used to colonize my homeland (West Timor). But I never think that way. Plus, wasn't that Arab-Berber Islamic colonized Portugal way before? Nonmuslims people in Iberian peninsula was forcefully mass converted especially during the Almohad Reforms in 13th century, that's already centuries before the 16th century Spanish Inquisition or the Spanish-Portuguese exploration era!

@dannydannydannydanny Because Arabs-Berbers taught Spanish & Portuguese how to do the colonization, including the mass conversion. In fact, the infamous Spanish Inquisition was only happened in 16th century, AFTER the similar inquisition imposed by the Arab-Berber Almohads (Almohad Reforms) toward nonmuslims in 13th century.

@Amir_Bakrawy That "civilization" too wasn't exist without Arabs conquering the nonmuslim areas such as Zoroastrian Persia & Egypt. Many Arab Christian dhimmis (second class citizen) like Hunayn ibn Ishaq translating Ancient Greek scriptures into Arabic, thus contributing to the Abassid Golden Ages. Even concept of "0" & algebra came from India, not by Muslims.

@amorbavian "impact".. if Korea still lament on how China dominated them for thousand years, then colonized by Japan, then divided because of Soviet & US ideological fight.. then Korea would never advance to the level as it is today. Instead, blame your corrupt politicians & (lack of) work culture. Learn to take responsibility.
