In all non-Muslim countries, people aren't having families because they can't afford to have them. In Muslim countries, people have families, but it isn't doing much for the sanctioned, bombed, corrupted, etc economies. Egypt's fertility is too high, which will lead to starvation, since they are too poor to import wheat in crises, and they can't grow enough to sustain themselves, and their diet is mostly wheat.
Iranians on the other hand have slightly less than 2 children per family.
