You say that as if they won't migrate when the economy slows down. They'll populate the neighbouring middle east countries.

As an Iraqi, I agree. Saudi is nothing but trouble. Let's restore the Ottoman Empire.

Iraq has enough water to sustain agriculture, not like Saudi who will run out of limited groundwater.

I agree

I agree. The Saudis shouldn't have built cities in the desert. They'd have made much better use of their money by buying plane tickets to migrate to Iraq or Turkey or something.

From Iraq, I agree

Saudis are nothing but trouble for the rest of the Middle East

Because the Ottoman Empire doesn't exist, so the oil money goes to the barren desert instead of developing the middle east as a whole, and because the government in Saudi decided to fund a fake economy in their borders instead of giving thwir people money to migrate to countries such as Iraq and Turkey which can sustain their population, the Saudi people are living in an economic house of cards which will collapse as soon as the oil revenue falls too low.

All Saudis should migrate to a country which can sustain their population. A country with farmland and water which can turn into bread and vegetables for them to eat. The desert is overpopulated, and the only jobs which exist there are related to the unsustainable oil industry.

@idrathernot_2 All these problems of water and work opportunities can be solved in one way: migration. Iran's population has a below replacement fertility rate. People saying Turkey is also having an aging population. That's where we'll put the Saudis. Hopefully Saudis as a diaspora will be less troublesome than the current Saudi state which causes so much instability.

That's what I'm thinking. As an Iraqi, I'm thinking the Saudi population is going to cause a strain on resources. Unlike Iraq, Saudi doesn't have enough farmland to sustain its population, because it doesn't have rivers.

@LolTollhurst America has water and farmland. So does Iraq. Only Saudi, UAE, and the Persian Gulf states are overpopulated.

Saudi Arabia is overpopulated. When oil demand falls, what jobs are there for them? . No agriculture, because they can't compete with the rest of the world when their water is from expensive desalination . No factories, because the desert is far away from consumers, it lacks water for cooling machines, workers can't survive without water and food . no services, because when the oil skyscrapers can't be maintained, nobody will travel to Arabia except to see the desert and camels Saudi Arabia isn't Iraq. Saudi Arabia can't sustain its 20 million permanent population for the next 50 years. They need to migrate.
