  1. The Russian Federation uses 2 types of thermobaric flamethrowers. Heavy on the T-72 platform called TOS-1 (3.6-6 km range, 40,000 m2 - the area of destruction). Portable "Bumblebee", range 600-800 m, area of destruction 50-200 m2, depending on the modification and location of the target in an open area or indoors.MLRS systems are also equipped with thermobaric charges of lower power than TOS-1.
