Woman is explaining the situation 10 years ago. The situation, while by no means great and still a work in progress, is not what she is describing. Which country doesn't have problems? In regard to family members of CCP migrating overseas, China has 20% of the world's population and many of them are now upwardly mobile and better off, do you expect all to remain in a single territory? Maybe some go to study, some to further their career, some for wherever other reasons... Just like all people around the world.
