In China, it all started over a decade ago with instant messaging and cashless /QR payment via digital wallet that is accepted by hundreds of millions of merchants, including rural mom&pop shops and even road side food/fruits sellers. That's the part the US app makers have not been able to do... Make America truly cashless.

  4. That's because the Indian govt had a tantrum a few years back and threw out wechat. Just like TikTok, none of the Indian 'replacements' have had that kind of success.
