  2.  @b0t155  when was the last time the US navy faced death and destruction? The last time was ww2 and to a much lesser extent Vietnam. Since then, the US fought 'battles'against pseudo enemies (weak states, insurgents etc) from afar and its navy never met death and destruction up close

  3.  @cameronbalfe241  you are wrong. general McArthur tried to take everything past the 38th parallel, even marching towards the Yalu river which would have made him enter China. You know what happened after that when china entered the war (with a poor economy and rag-tag army at the time, mind you) . There is a reason why there is a North Korea today.

  4. The only real iron clad 'alliance' that the US has in Asia Pacific would be Australia. And to some extent US bases in Japan. 90% chance the other countries will demure going with the US against China. After all, your neighbors are forever plus they are all having China as their largest trading partner.

  9.  @desmond89  the Pentagon has been following China's anti-ship missiles and hypersonic missiles for year though all their tests. Yes, they are accurate. But then, you seem to know better. Lol

  10.  @desmond89  your arguments are all over the map! First of all Russia does not have that many hypersonic weapons. China has A LOT and they are more advanced than Russia's. You can use Himars to shoot at a carrier group or other high value targets (naval / air bases for example) even 500kms away? Go educate yourself what the Himars can or cannot do. And educate yourself on the many tests China has done with multiple hypersonic and anti-ship missiles in the last 10 years. The Pentagon has.
