@SilverStarHeggisist and the atrocities committed in China by the Japanese imperial army for which they have never fully atoned (unlike the Germans) is why the Chinese will never forgive them. That is also one of the main reasons why both Taiwan and Diaoyu/Senkaku are such lightning rod issues in China today. Both were forcibly taken by Japan and never properly returned after ww2.

@jessepacheco6020 really? Precision manufacturing in the US!? Maybe for small batches of some product prototypes. All precision manufacturing is done in east Asia and Germany.

@paladinsix9285 during the Korean War, chinese troops were derided as being peasants, now they are 'one child policy princes'... No matter, they fought as general McArthur knows too well. US soldiers have not really fought since Vietnam and some say they are very afraid of dying

@SilverStarHeggisist sure they were very useful but let's not lionize 100 people who were active for only about 1 year and in the air for just half of that, in a war that dragged on from 1937 to 1945 (by some account even from 1931) and cost millions of lives on the battlefield. China never gave in with or without external help and paid in blood to keep the Japanese very busy and on their toes. Had China surrendered in 1938 (way before the tigers), Pearl Harbor may never have happened (the war in China and the resistance made the Japanese desperate for resources) and Japan would have invaded much more of the Indo pacific than it did then.

Where in China? A foreigner coming to the US to visit his relatives in Alabama or the like s wouldn't be too impressed.
