China kept its head down for 3 decades, worked day & night, built infrastructure, education capabilities, healthcare, R&D, manufacturing facilities etc etc. It did so quietly till it reached almost 10T in size.. Yes 10T in around 2013. And that was in USD at that time. Why Indians attract so much attention to themselves at their current level of development baffles many people. China did not even make much noise when it surpassed Japan to become no2 GDP in 2010.

  12. ​ @salty5096  it would take at least 2 to 3 decades for other countries to build the supply ecosystem needed for any main brands that move elsewhere. For instance, Apple has moved only 5% of its iphone production from China to India since 2017/18 but till today, many of the parts needed are still being shipped from China (primarily) , Japan and Korea to make those iphones in India.

  13. ​​​ @davidford3115  Russia and China are linked by the 'power of Siberia' pipeline and another one is under construction. They are also linked by roads, railways and the port of Vladivostok in the Russian far east. China has land links to most of central Asia countries as well where it is getting gas and oil. As for food, China already produces over 80% of what it needs. The volume of imports seem huge but that's simply cause that 20% is still a large amount. Russia and Mongolia can step in to provide the food lacking. Bear in mind that whatever 'blockade' will also cripple Taiwan, Japan and Korea even more so than China. They are totally dependent on the seas.

Just like the land route through Cpec in Pakistan out to the middle east and land route to Myanmar Kyaukpyu Port out to the Bay of Bengal. At the end of the day, all the diversification would allow China not to be starved of anything. What's your point anyway?

That's one of the reasons, Chinese domestically made flanker (j11bg and j16d) abandoned Russian avionics, weapons and radars a long time ago and replaced them with their own.

  29.  @АндрейСергеевич-ж1ы  China has had 'carrier killer' missile (df21) for 4 years now. And it also has something similar to the Russian Avant-garde (Df17) since 2019. The US shops will not be able to come too close to Chinese coast in the event of a war. And if China gets together with Russia, the 2 can push all the way to Hawaii and Alaska and create a BIG headache for the US.
