@sra1354 dude.. Many foreigners contribute greatly to the American economy, not just Indians. That's been the business model all along.

Iraq and Libya would be what happens to Saudi Arabia. It is not powerful enough to pull that off. Only Russia and China have been able to overtly promote dedollarisation... Everybody else must be covert, else bombs start to rain down on them.

Wion and Palki Sharma unbiased?? Listening to her makes one think India is a long suffering country that does everything right and is never wrong. Everyone else is not.

@petersinclair3997 I do not believe I said the aim was to 'defeat the US dollar'. At least not in the near to medium term. Russia and China have been the only countries who've been able to overtly promote the use of other currencies (including their own) for some trades that they do, especially between themselves and with some others within their sphere of influence.... Without the US being able to do anything about it, least start bombing like it did to Iraq and Libya. Those two wanted to get away from the petrodollar.

@hussainashraf5179 a question to be pondered after 2035 which isn't long at all in geopolitics. Though I do not think that's china's aim. No interest in playing policeman in other people's backyard... Not at the moment anyway.

@hussainashraf5179 that is already happening between Saudia Arabia and even Iran but the point is China made the first move in attempting to not exclusively use the dollar in those cases. In the case of Iraq and Libya, those countries tried to do so themselves and we all know what happened.
