  1. You are wrong.Pre-Pandemic (2019) China sent 284k tourists while India sent 166k (many of whom just went to Male and not expensive resorts). UK, Germany and Italy also sent over 100k each.

  6. First of all, Maldives does NOT depend on India and its tourists. Indian tourists are among many others and far down low on spending power. Secondly, have you been to the Maldives? Quality resorts not Male or some cheap resorts. Lakshadweep is a joke in comparison @AnandSisodiya-nr6me

The best example would be Mauritius with a GDP per capita 4 times that of India BUT guess what, most rational economic progress is done by other enthic groups.
