India joined when it was independent and not pro/stituting herself like she is doing now with any western organization. India wouldn't have been easily admitted today.

It's called QUAD. It's also called the telephone. US bullies India via telephone. But Indians like it and talk about 'national interest' even as they sweat each time phone rings.

@randomguy6152 the countries you see today are not the continuous downline of those civilisations you mentioned. They were interrupted and collapsed.

@randomguy6152 you are mistaking genetic downline to the preservation of a civilization. They are not the same. There are 4 great acknowledged civilizations. Egypt, China, Indus Valley and Mesopotamia. Among the 4, only the Chinese managed to survive pretty much most of the customs and culture uninterrupted for thousands of years till today. The ancient Egyptians, Harappa/Indus people, and Mesopotamians are culturally extinct and in some cases (like writing for Indus / Harappa people) unrecognizable today. Similarly Greek / Romans which came later have had their culture abandoned (Roman Bath in the Vatican?). This is a long topic though.

@shrujanamsyama9940 dude, Sanskrit came from the Aryans in Central Asia. Can you even decipher ANY of the Harappan script? Answer is NO. Nothing to do with Indians today.
